Description

We are seeking an Accountant with minimum 1-3 years experience in Maritime, Shipping Industry. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of accounting practices within the shipping industry, port expenses, and freight revenue management. She/He will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing detailed financial reporting for shipping operations.

o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

o Analyze financial data, identifying trends and providing insights into profitability, cost controls, and operational efficiency in marine and shipping   operations.

o Prepare vessel-specific financial reports, including operational budgets and forecasts.

o Handle daily accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions related to freight, port charges, vessel maintenance, and other shipping-related costs.

o Reconcile general ledger accounts and track vessel expenses such as fuel costs, docking fees, insurance, and repairs.

o Manage deductions and reimbursements related to maritime contracts.

o Review invoices for freight, port charges, shipping agents, and other vendors, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.

o Monitor cash flow and ensure liquidity to support vessel operations
