Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant and Financial Analyst to join our growing finance team in Dubai. This dual-role position combines both accounting responsibilities with financial analysis duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, preparing reports, and performing in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a keen analytical mind, and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively.

• Accounting Responsibilities:
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE regulations and international accounting standards.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing VAT returns, ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations, and handling any tax-related inquiries.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and identifying discrepancies.
• Audit Support: Prepare financial documents and schedules for internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with all audit requirements.
• Month-End and Year-End Close: Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring that all accounting records are accurate and up to date.

• Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models to forecast the company’s financial performance, analyze trends, and assist with budgeting and financial planning.
• Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis by comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets. Identify key drivers of performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management and other departments to prepare and review annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Cost Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of costs and profitability, and assist in making recommendations to improve cost efficiency and increase profitability.
• KPI Reporting: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate business performance and ensure that financial targets are met.
• Management Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analysis to senior management, offering insights into the company’s financial health and performance.
• Investment Appraisal: Conduct financial analysis for potential investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, or capital expenditures.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA is preferred.
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis, with a strong background in both areas. Experience in the UAE or GCC region is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems).
• Advanced Excel skills (including financial modeling, pivot tables, and data analysis).
• Familiarity with financial analysis tools and reporting systems.
• Experience with UAE VAT laws and tax regulations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis.
