Description

We’re looking for a talented application developer to spearhead our application development process and support the maintenance of our existing apps. The ideal candidate for this position will have multiple years of experience in developing and upgrading mobile and web applications. The ideal candidate will be required to collaborate with other developers on the same project and should demonstrate experience in working on collaborative development environment.

Objectives

• Build and maintain web and mobile applications for our company

• Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure applications meet our company’s needs and future business expansion.

• Oversee the performance of applications to ensure they’re always running properly

• Improve our overall application development process and continuously find ways to advance our apps

• Upgrade existing apps to align with our company’s goals as well as customer needs

Responsibilities

• Build mobile and web applications

• Find solutions to security threats, viruses or errors

• Carry out regular security and performance checks on apps and website.

• Work collaboratively with team to receive and respond to project requests

• Provide programming experience to creatively design applications

• Develop APIs to support functionality of mobile devices

• Work with different team members and departments to ensure code quality

• Customize existing code to ensure efficiency and functionality

• Work closely with colleagues in product development to improve app design and functionality

• Engage with users to better understand customer needs and opportunities for improvements

• Remain current on technology trends to keep our software as innovative as possible

• Accurately document programming and code changes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

• 5+ years of proven experience developing, releasing, and maintaining production-quality mobile apps

• Ability to work in at least one programming language

• Up-to-date knowledge of different programming languages, such as C#, C++, Java, Ruby, Swift, Python, JavaScript, Kotlin, Rust

• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and front-end languages

• Experience with architecting and working with Node.js applications

• Deep understanding of core programming principles, including design

• A complete understanding of the full mobile-app development lifecycle starting with prototyping

• Experience with system design, programming, and data structuring

• Critical thinking and analytical skills

• Keen attention to detail

• Excellent time management

• Experience working within an Agile software development environment

• Experience publishing native mobile apps in either the Apple or Google app stores

• Experience with mobile UX/UI design

• Ability and willingness to work independently and efficiently

• Desire to work collaboratively to ensure effective execution of project deadlines

• Strongly detail-oriented with an ability to quickly identify and solve programming errors
