Description

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Estimator is an integral member of the leadership team, collaborating with the broader business, clients and suppliers to understand projects and compile all relevant data and cost estimates to create winning tender/bid responses and submissions for civil construction projects.

The Estimator is expected to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and suppliers, ensure product compliance with ISO Codes and Standards, remain current with market trends and maintain supplier pricing tables. This will provide accurate cost estimates to ensure the financial viability of projects and business continuity.

It is also the Estimator's responsibility to collate and analyse data to build and maintain valid cost centres in the estimating program.

It is expected the Estimator assist the project team with establishing project information folders for site use, carrying out project handovers and disseminating all applicable details relating to the project, scope, estimates, budgets, supplier quotes and initial programs.

The Estimator is to have the ability to read plans and take off sheets, provide variation quotations where required working in conjunction with the Project Manager and management for future planning.

• To prepare and lodge winning bids and tenders.

• Collect and analyse data to estimate the time, monies, materials, and labour required according to scope as set out in tender, quote and variation requests.

• To establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and sub-contractors within the guidelines of the Applied Installations procurement policy, to provide concise estimates and set up procurement for jobs won.

• To assist the Project and Procurement managers with planning, procurement, project budgets, coordination and quality assurance of projects in line with estimates, to ensure project programs and budgets are met.

• To ensure work practices and methodology offered adhere to best practice principles and comply with company and statutory safety requirements.

• Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans and specifications based on efficient and innovative delivery techniques.

• Implementing and improving estimating methods across the business (incl. labour hours, materials and other resources estimates) for both maintenance and construction activities.

• Preparation of initial work schedules and resource plans to ensure that customer work requirements are incorporated within the Applied AUS offer.

• Prepare project handover check sheet and brief for Project Manager and Engineer on project requirements (materials, labour, subcontract).

• Provide the Project Manager with all technical aspects of the project noted during the Tendering phase.

• Attend site and tender meetings as required.

• Increase exposure and opportunities through accessing and monitoring public tender sites to tender on projects relevant to the business.

• May assist Applied Group in Australia in preparing estimation plans as needed.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years’ experience in estimating within the uae qualification and atleast student of experience. The position require estimator, civil construction, project, construction mandatory skills. This is a Full-Time morning shift job.
