Carpenter cum Painter handles both woodwork/carpentry and surface painting, finishing, and repair tasks for buildings, furniture, and interiors.
Key Responsibilities
Carpentry Duties
- Wood & Material Work: Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, MDF, plywood, and laminates.
- Installations: Fix and install wooden doors, cabinets, shelves, furniture, and partitions.
- Gypsum & Drywall: Install gypsum board partitions, false ceilings, and metal framing if the role involves interior fit-outs.
- Repairs: Fix damaged furniture, broken hinges, locks, wooden frames, and structural woodwork
Painting & Finishing Duties
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, apply putty, and fix cracks on walls, ceilings, or wooden surfaces.
- Priming & Painting: Apply primer, emulsion, lacquer, or stains using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Touch-ups: Conduct final coat applications, polishing, and snag rectification or touch-up work
