Description

Job Summary

• The CCTV / Surveillance Systems Technician is responsible for installation, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of CCTV and video surveillance systems including NVRs and IVMS platforms. The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise in structured cabling, camera installation, system integration, troubleshooting, and customer support. Experience in Access Control Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, and other ELV solutions will be considered an added advantage.

• Install, configure, and commission IP and analog CCTV systems.
• Installation and setup of NVRs, DVRs, storage solutions, and video management software (IVMS or equivalent platforms).
• Camera installation including mounting, focusing, alignment, and optimization for required coverage.
• Configure recording parameters, motion detection, analytics, and remote viewing.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve faults related to cameras, recording systems, network connectivity, and video loss.
• Upgrade firmware and maintain system performance.

• Basic configuration of IP addressing, VLANs, and network connectivity related to CCTV systems.
• Integration of CCTV systems with client networks and monitoring stations.
• Coordination with IT teams during system deployment.
• Access Control & ELV Systems (Added Advantage)
• Installation and maintenance of access control systems including readers, controllers, and door hardware.
• Basic knowledge of fire alarm system interfaces and integration.
• Support installation and troubleshooting of other ELV systems such as intercoms, PA systems, and structured cabling.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and health checks.
• Attend breakdown calls and provide timely resolution.
• Maintain service reports and installation documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and site procedures.

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
• Minimum  3 years of hands-on experience in CCTV installation and configuration.
• Strong experience with NVR systems and IVMS platforms.
• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals.
• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Experience in cable routing, termination, and testing.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
