Description

A leading hospital in the UAE is looking for CSSD Technicians for their facilities in Abu Dhabi with the following responsibilities - 

• Collect equipment and supplies Collect healthcare and laboratory supplies from different departments regularly, and promptly. 
• Sort, document, and disinfect all the collected equipment, instruments, tubes and bottles using the appropriate procedures. 
• Sterilize and disinfect Operate sterilization machines effectively, and ensure equipment are appropriately sterilized for reuse. 
• Disassemble, sterilize, reassemble, and pack instruments according to the infection control guidelines. 
• Infection control arrangements Monitor the sterilization process of clinical equipment and healthcare supplies to ensure quality product and faultless outcome. 
• Record sterilizer test results, recognize disorders, and monitor expiry date; report to the Lead Nurse. 
• Properly handle, process, and store sterilized equipment and timely distribute to the appropriate department. 
• Maintain safe and controlled environment 
• Collaborate and coordinate with PHCC’s multidisciplinary team to maintain safety of patients in a controlled environment. 
• Educate and guide new CSSD Technicians and trainees in performing sterilization activities and operating CSSD equipment. 
• Liaise with the Biomedical section with regards to regular maintenance and calibration of the machines in the unit. 
• Abide by PHCC’s safety and infection control regulations, and ensure the implementation of international CSSD standards and process practice
