Role Overview

The Drilling Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing drilling operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective well delivery. This role will involve collaborating with geoscience, engineering, and operations teams to develop drilling programs, monitor progress, and solve technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement drilling plans and procedures.

Monitor drilling operations and adjust parameters for optimal performance.

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Select drilling equipment and materials.

Coordinate with contractors and suppliers.

Troubleshoot operational issues during drilling.

Prepare drilling performance reports for management.

Analyze drilling data to improve efficiency and safety.

Manage drilling budgets and cost control.

Participate in post-drilling evaluations and lessons learned.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Drilling Engineering.

Minimum 3 years’ drilling engineering experience.

Knowledge of well design, drilling fluids, and rig operations.

Proficiency in drilling engineering software.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Safety-oriented with regulatory compliance knowledge.

Ability to work in both office and field locations.
