Description

Position Overview
We are looking for a “Freight Coordinator” who is responsible for obtaining prices from our suppliers, book shipments and coordinate with transportation and logistics for the movement of our customers products. They will work closely with our Business Development team and external vendors to ensure that shipments are delivered on time, while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Obtain prices from suppliers for freight and quote based on our customer requirement.
•    Plan, implement and manage transportation strategies, policies, and procedures.
•    Manage daily freight operations, and communicated the same with our customers including transit, clearance, and status of pick up.
•    Ensure all shipments are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
•    Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
•    Monitor shipment progress and communicate any issues or delays to internal teams and customers.
•    Analyse transportation data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
•    Work closely with internal teams, including sales, purchasing, and production, to ensure seamless coordination of logistics.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics providers.
Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
•    2+ years of experience in transportation and logistics
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
•    Detail-oriented and organized.
