Description

Job Description of Jump up Coach:

• To thoroughly check the set-up of Jump up before use for safety and report any damage to the Duty Team Leader.

• To have a responsibility for the safeguarding and protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

• To inform management immediately of any accident or incident that requires attention, completing accident report forms as appropriate

• To offer advice and support to pupils / coaches as necessary

• Ensure the sessions begin promptly and wherever possible, parents are able to spectate in comfort

• Ensure that Participants are appropriately dressed for the activity being under taken.

Skills Required:

• Good leadership skills and ability to work as part of a team

• Good interpersonal skills - Ability to communicate effectively with kids and their parents and customers

• Ability to understand the learning process and training principles

• Knowledge of injury prevention - understanding how to reduce the risk of injury.

• Good time management skills and punctuality

Desirable Qualifications:

• Candidate should have experience in same field as Jump up coach or Trampoline coach.

• Safeguarding and Protecting Children Awareness

• First Aid

• Previous experience within a coaching / leadership environment

• Experience coaching/ working within a large gymnastics club/ leisure center environment may be advantageous
