Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities for Production manager:

1. Production Planning and Scheduling:
o Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and ensure timely delivery of products.
o Coordinate with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
2. Team Management:
o Supervise and lead a team of production workers, including hiring, training, and performance management.
o Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
3. Process Optimization:
o Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
o Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
4. Quality Control:
o Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
o Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
5. Resource Management:
o Manage and allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize production output.
o Monitor and control production costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
6. Health and Safety:
o Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
o Conduct regular safety inspections and implement safety training programs for production staff.
7. Inventory Management:
o Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory control team to maintain optimal stock levels.
o Implement inventory management strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce holding costs.
8. Reporting and Documentation:
o Prepare and present production reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to senior management.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records and documentation.
9. Continuous Improvement:
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and increase overall productivity.
o Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
