• Good network within shipping line/import agent & cross trade business.
• Import/Export documentation experience and understanding of international shipping is a must.

• Checking for the most current and accurate shipping rates from suppliers and carriers on a regular basis
• Providing quotes to customers in a timely and professional manner, ensuring the quotes accurately reflect the rates and services offered.
• Negotiating pricing and services with customers to ensure the company is providing the best value while maintaining profitability.
• Maintaining accurate records of customer quotes and pricing information for future reference and analysis.
• Overseeing the customer service and pricing functions of the company, ensuring high-quality service is provided.
• Developing and implementing pricing strategies to increase profitability and remain competitive in the market.
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the customer service and pricing teams, including staffing and resource allocation
• Negotiating and managing contracts with customers and suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless customer service and efficient pricing processes.
• Analyzing customer and market data to inform pricing decisions and strategies.
• Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators related to customer service and pricing.
• Ensuring accurate and timely communication with customers and stakeholders
• Providing feedback and coaching to customer service and pricing teams to improve performance.
• Participating in the recruitment, training, and development of customer service and pricing staff
• Keeping abreast of changes in the freight forwarding industry and ensuring the customer service and pricing teams are up-to-date with the latest information
• Developing and implementing customer service and pricing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Managing customer complaints and resolving customer service and pricing issues
