Position: In-House Legal Consultant

Location: Ajman, U.A. E

Founded more than two decades ago in UAE. Over the years, the group has proven its might in a multitude of fields including the Automotive and Industrial petroleum products with a manpower of three heads.


KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

 Risk Assessment: Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive strategies for risk mitigation.
 Protection of Intellectual Property: Guide business owners in protecting their IP, thus safeguarding their valuable assets like; Trademark, Branding and promotion material, Industrial property. providing the necessary inputs.
 Dispute Resolution: Participate in dispute resolution processes, including mediation, arbitration, or litigation when necessary.
 Collaborate with external counsel as required.
 Conduct legal due diligence for corporate transactions and acquisitions.
 Provide guidance and advice on legal policy and legislative issues.
 Identify, resolve, and consult on a wide range of employment, sales, leasing, compliance, litigation, contracts and other legal or operational issues while focusing on company needs and priorities.
 Support with necessary documents and write-ups, legal documents for trial or court proceedings.
 Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
 Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters.
 Protect the company against legal risks and violations.
 Examine the legal issues related to services.
 Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
 Conducting legal analysis and researching legal matters.
 Drafting legal opinions, memoranda, and briefing documents.
 Reviewing legal materials.
 Formulating formalities regarding settlements of disputes.
 Monitoring the implementation of the legal clauses.
 Maintain corporate records and ensure adherence to statutory requirements.
 Maintain reports and updates on contracts and legal cases.
 Attend meetings, including but not limited to expert meetings and arbitration.

JOB ROLE REQUIREMENT:
 Ideally have recent in-house legal experience across corporates.
 Must be a bachelor’s degree holder in law and prior work experience from a law firm.
 Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience as a legal consultant or in-house counsel, with a strong background in corporate law, intellectual property, labour law as a corporate lawyer preferably within the UAE establishment.
 Preferred Arabic knowledge but not limited, well-versed in English communication both verbal and written.
 In-depth knowledge of UAE corporate laws and regulations.
 Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
 Must be a UAE driving licence holder.
