Job Summary
The Usher plays a key role in delivering an elevated guest experience at Cinemacity. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, guiding them through the venue, and ensuring a seamless and comfortable cinema experience from arrival to departure.
Working within a premium entertainment environment, the Usher ensures that guests receive attentive, courteous service while maintaining the refined atmosphere expected in a luxury cinema setting. The position requires strong hospitality skills, professionalism, and the ability to anticipate guest needs while supporting smooth theatre operations.
Role Responsibilities
• Welcome guests warmly and provide a professional first impression of the Cinemacity experience.
• Assist guests with ticket verification and guide them to their seats within the cinema auditorium.
• Provide clear information about showtimes, facilities, and available services.
• Anticipate guest needs and offer assistance proactively to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
• Support VIP and premium guests with attentive service while maintaining discretion and professionalism.
• Ensure auditoriums are prepared and presented to the highest standard prior to each screening.
• Assist with managing guest flow during entry and exit from screenings.
• Monitor theatre areas to ensure a calm, safe, and enjoyable environment for guests.
• Coordinate with food and beverage teams to ensure smooth service within cinema auditoriums when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards within cinema halls, corridors, and waiting areas.
• Conduct quick theatre checks between screenings to ensure the environment is ready for incoming guests.
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to the operations team.
• Ensure guests adhere to cinema policies and maintain a respectful environment during screenings.
• Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures as required.
• Support venue staff during peak periods and special events.
• Work closely with box office, hospitality, and operations teams to ensure a seamless guest journey.
• Participate in daily briefings and service training to maintain high hospitality standards.
Requirements
• Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, retail, hotels, restaurants, or entertainment venues preferred.
• Experience working in premium hospitality environments is an advantage.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, friendly, and confident communication style.
• Ability to remain calm and attentive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Professional grooming and presentation in line with luxury service standards.
• Comfortable working in dimly lit theatre environments.
