Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement & Contracts Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in managing our procurement activities, vendor relations, and contract administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation abilities, strategic thinking, and an in-depth understanding of procurement laws in the UAE. This position plays a critical part in supporting our operational functions and long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement and Supplier Management
The candidate will be responsible for identifying and sourcing reliable vendors for our equipment, technology, and service needs. This includes negotiating pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost optimization and efficiency. The role also involves developing vendor evaluation criteria, conducting supplier performance assessments, and establishing procurement policies that align with our business goals and UAE regulations.
Contract Administration and Compliance
This position requires drafting, reviewing, and managing vendor and client contracts, ensuring all contractual terms support the company’s objectives. The candidate will ensure compliance with legal standards and UAE procurement laws, monitor deadlines and renewals, and collaborate with legal teams to resolve disputes or revise contract terms when necessary.
Cost Control and Budgeting
The Procurement & Contracts Specialist will develop and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality. Responsibilities include tracking procurement expenses, preparing financial reports, and conducting market research to identify more competitive pricing and sourcing alternatives.
Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement
The role involves optimizing procurement workflows and automating purchasing processes to increase efficiency. The candidate will maintain a centralized database of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information, while ensuring transparency and accuracy in all procurement documentation.
Strategic Business Support
In alignment with the company's scaling and growth plans, the candidate will develop procurement strategies that support larger business objectives. This includes participating in negotiations for large-scale purchases and evaluating market opportunities for strategic sourcing partnerships.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in procurement and contract management is required, preferably within digital media, technology, or startup environments. A solid understanding of UAE procurement laws and contract frameworks is essential.
Technical and Negotiation Skills
Applicants should have a proven track record in supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and developing procurement strategies. Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and cost management tools is expected. The candidate must be capable of managing purchase orders, budgets, and compliance processes efficiently.
Soft Skills and Business Acumen
