A. QUALIFICATIONS/PROFILE

This position is regarded as senior position of responsibility and potential candidate should realize this before they apply.

The candidate must possess the following qualification and skills as minimum:

1. Hold a degree/diploma in Civil/Mechanical engineering.

2. Must have a sound working experience in AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.

3. Must have minimum of 7 years of pipeline design experience in offshore projects. Out of the 15 years of experience, 3 years must be in the offshore pipeline drawing generation.

4. Candidate must have past experience with working in different phases of project e.g. Concept, FEED and EPC.

5. Can work independently & possess good time management skills. The candidate must be pro-active, co-operative, possess good communication and analytical skills and is dutiful.

6. Managerial skill to lead group of designers, draftsmen and CAD operators.

7. The candidate must possess good communication skills; both verbal and written. Candidate may be required to attend meetings within the COMPANY and with clients to discuss various topics related to pipeline drafting. Candidate must be able to prepare basic reports e.g. pipeline routing reports, site visit reports etc. and must be well versed with preparing comment resolutions for pipeline drawings.

8. Working experience with Arc GIS software is added advantages.

9. Able to manage site visits and preparation of site visit reports.

10. Preferably have 1 years of working experience in the Gulf and knowledge on the ADNOC group Drawing Office Procedure (DOP).

B. RESPONSIBILITES

He/she will report operationally to the Lead engineer and functionally to the Pipeline Discipline Head with regards to his main tasks listed hereunder:

1. Administrative management of pipeline designers, draftsmen and CAD operators.

2. Ensuring the pipeline drawings generations are progressing efficiently to maintain project schedule without compromising quality.

3. Coordinate with surveyor to ensure the quality of drawings required for design is provided by surveyor.

4. Providing the pipeline lead engineer with reliable progress status on drawing issues and pending points.

5. Ensure efficient and economical design in accordance with standard engineering practice.

6. Should be capable of proactively identify/ foresee bottlenecks and implement solutions to mitigate the problem.

7. Should be effective communicator.

8. Pro-active participation to identify potential drafting improvements to cope with project objectives in terms of design and drafting resources.

9. Provide necessary inputs to lead engineer or Pipeline Head of Discipline on the design and drafting issues.
