Winter in the United Arab Emirates is coming to an End. With
the new season coming, it comes with new opportunities for the summer and the
local and new residents in UAE.
One of the best times to apply for the job is during the end
of winter and/or the start of the Fiscal year. Most of the In-demand Jobs in UAE are available during this season, for this reason, employers tend to lock
their employers during the first quarter of the Fiscal year as the budget is
still freshly allocated and as they say, it is to “Start a clean slate”.
Some Employers are starting to plan for the upcoming Summer
season.
If you are planning to change careers, or planning to move to
UAE or any other country, the first thing you usually do is research the place,
the environment, the cost of living, and most importantly the job availability.
Focusing on employment wise, below are the factors you may and/or should
consider to make your decision-making a little less complicated. Just a note
that these are just some basic questions that need to be considered.
Your Priority
Seeking a new employer in UAE will be a big step. You have to
ask yourself, what would be your reason for moving? Is it to earn better or to
take one step further in your career? So you will know how to start your job
hunting. If for better earnings, you can mass-sending CVs and letterhead to
employers, since you are not looking for the specific role. As for Career
Growth, it would be more challenging as you would be competing with other job
hunters who may have the “UAE experience” that employers usually seek. Taking
training will be a big help to nudge your resume.
Cost of Living
Regardless of your purpose or why you are considering UAE as
your next home for your next journey, you should always check the cost of
living in whichever City you will live in, whether it will be in Dubai,
Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, etc. This will help you to negotiate your salary
package during your interview. After all, everyone works not just for fun, we
work to save for our retirement, to support our families, and to live
comfortably.
Culture and Lifestyle
Knowing the culture and lifestyle of the locals will help you
to give a heads-up on what to expect. Plus, it is just right for you to learn
their culture out of respect and blend into their lifestyle. This does not just
apply to the country, but to the job you are about to enter. It is always nice
to have the initiative to adjust for them.
If you are still reading up here, I am assuming that you have
already made your decision after considering this. :)
